Event organisation
Ever heard the expression “done this more often than you have had hot dinners”, well Pete really has organised more decent sized sailing events than you have had hot dinners.

Pete was heavily involved in organising 7 Enterprise Nationals with over 100 boats as Chairman of the UK Enterprise Association Events Committee, organising Enterprise Worlds in Thailand, Bombay and Zimbabwe as Enterprise International President plus three big RS all classes Nationals each with over 300 boats competing. With Greg O'Brien and Alice Driscoll, Pete also organised transport of 36 boats, flights and accomodation for over 100 people to Enterprise Thailand Worlds. See CV for more details.

Pete has been a key figure in the development of the RS classes and racing circuits; as Chairman of the RS Association he now oversees the organisation of over 100 significant events each year.

At the same time as organising all these events Pete has been competing in them to a high level giving him a constant valuable insight into what the competitors want and are thinking. He has the respect of the leading sailors and at the same time knows well many of the country's top race officers and officers of most leading leading clubs.

If you want freelance advise for your class or club then please contact Pete on 07813 899043 or email him on pete@petevincent.co.uk.

With "The Emma Harris", first Lady to win the Lark Nationals, Pete has organised the Top Club Championship, a competition where RYA affiliated clubs enter teams of three boats to find the country’s top club. The brainchild of Emma and Pete they organised the event from scratch including finding a major sponsor in Crewsaver. For more information see www.Topclub.org.uk.

In early 2008 Fat Face approached Pete to organise the racing at the inaugral Fat Face Night Sail, part of Fat Faces Night series. See news section. Fat Face will be running the event again in 2009 with Pete as the race organiser.

Talks
Pete is a well known public speaker as most people who have ever been to an RS prize giving will know. He has presented many talks at clubs over a wide range of subjects including boat repairing, rules, tactics, specific classes and the future of dinghy sailing.

Pete has also undertaken a wide range of speaking engagements from guest speaker at South Staffs SC 50th aniversary dinner to making a presentations on the main stage at the RYA Dinghy Show.
