About Pete Vincent
These are some, but not all, of the successes and contribrutions Pete has made in sailing in the last 20 years.
1987–1994
Chairman of "The Enterprise Association" Championship Committee. Responsible for organising National, inlands and masters Championships.
1988–1993
President of the International Enterprise Class. Directly responsible for organising 4 World Championships outside of the UK.
1991-1994
Rear Commodore of the Enterprise Association.
1994–1995
Inaugural Chairman of the RS Class Association.
1999-2001
Full time Secretary of RS Association. Responsible for all arrangements for 2000 RS Nationals with 323 boats competing and 2001 Nationals with 353 boats competing.
Responsible for organising the RS Racing Circuit, the UK’s largest National Circuit. Responsible for instigating extensive training programmes and development of coaches.
2003 to present
Chairman of the RS Class Association, which now organises a wide range of services for 10 RS classes. Responsible for overseeing the work of the professional staff and the 10 owners clubs, to provide the UK’s most extensive racing calendar.

1986–1997
In the top 20 overall at Enterprise National Championships 12 years in a row; highest position - 7th overall.
1987
4th overall, Enterprise World Championships at Royal Cork YC.
1991
Winner of the Irish Enterprise National Championships.
1995-2001
In the top 20 overall at RS400 National Championships 7 years in a row; highest place 9th in 1999
1997
Winner of the RS400 Inland Championships.
1998
Winner of the RS400 National Racing Circuit.
2001
6th overall at the Lark Nationals.
2002
Winner of the RS200 National Racing Circuit
2nd at RS200 Inland Championships.
2001-2009
In the top 20 overall at RS200 National Championships 8 times, highest - 6th overall.
2004
3rd overall at RS Vareo National Championships.
2006
Awarded RYA Community award for lifetime services to sailing.
2007
Winner of the Irish RS200 Nationals
2009
Winner of the inaugral RS200 SW Ugly Tour.
PLUS
Race Officer for GP14 Inlands, Enterprise Masters Championships, Lark Inlands, Fireball Inlands, PRO for three BIG BUSA events. Chairman of the Board of Directors Meeting at the Lark Nationals, a great honour.
Highest accolades paid – Craig Burlton and Bonsey admitting in magazine article that it was their worst moment in sailing when Pete Cruickshank and myself pipped them on the last leg to win the 1997 RS400 Inlands.
Plus being told that I "thought too much out of the box" to sit on an RYA Committee, praise indeed.
